How SOS Works in SafeSaathi

SOS is the fastest way to alert the people you trust when something feels wrong. A single press starts the process — no unlocking your phone, no searching for a number to call.

What happens when you trigger it

1. Your current location is captured immediately.
2. All of your configured emergency contacts are notified — by app push if they use SafeSaathi, and by SMS either way.
3. You can add a note or, if your plan includes it, a short camera capture as evidence.
4. Your contacts can see your live location until you mark yourself safe or resolve the alert.

Cancelling a false alarm

If you triggered SOS by mistake, open the alert screen and mark it resolved. Your contacts are notified that everything is fine, and the alert closes.

Silent SOS

If your plan includes Silent SOS, you can trigger an alert without any visible confirmation on your screen — useful when you'd rather not show that you're calling for help.
