Setting Up Your Emergency Contacts
23d ago · 2 min read
Your emergency contacts are the people SafeSaathi reaches out to during an SOS, an automatically detected crash, or a missed scheduled check-in. Adding them takes a minute, and it's worth doing before you need it.
Adding a contact
Go to Profile, then Emergency Contacts, and add a name and phone number. If the person also uses SafeSaathi, linking their account lets them see richer detail — like your live location during an active alert — instead of just an SMS.
How many should I add?
Most people add two or three — someone nearby who could physically reach them, and a family member who should always know. You can reorder them by priority; the first contact is tried first.
Key takeaways
- Emergency contacts are notified during SOS, crash detection, and missed check-ins.
- Linking a contact's own SafeSaathi account unlocks live-location viewing during an alert.
- Contacts are tried in the priority order you set.
